I was replacing my oil gauge when I noticed that wire #39 was loose . It is green and it is close to the fuse box. I traced the other end to the preheaters. I looked at John's website for a wireing diagram but the wires are not numbered the same . Is there a diagram that list the wire nmbers? I think it will end up at the 30 amp fuse at the fuse box but I am not for sure. Robby

I do remember the glow plug feed wire on my early JM254s was green. But the old wiring diagram only goes up to wire #38. In those days there was no HEAT fuse. My first guess then, is that your green wire #39 goes between that fuse - and the glow plug buss bar.

On my 284, wire 39 is green and runs between the glow plugs and the PreHeat fuse.

I had to go look at mine again. I had recorded that wire in the schematic I was drawing as 36, but another look shows that it is indeed 39 and runs from the 30A heat fuse to the heating element bussbar. Gotta go fix the drawing now

Robby I put a link to it in the "jinma 284 won't hold charge" thread located a few threads down from this one. I fixed wire 39, and it is complete except for the sensor wiring to-from the gauge cluster. Sadly my plate has been pretty full this summer, as I have a lot of projects like this one in various stages of completion that I just can't seem to be able to finish
