OK, now that we have the whole story here it goes. Your truck has a plug located under the dash, drivers side, that connects your aftermarket brake controller to the 7 pin plug at the rear. No need to run wires. All you need to do is go to your nearest RV dealer, UHAUL, or good parts store like AutoZone and get the $10 pigtail.
You will also need to put a large fuse in the proper spot in the fuse pannel to charge your trailers brake-away battery. You can get this fuse anywhere but the cheapest I have found them is at the dealer, about a $1.50 Its either a 30 or 40 amp fuse depending on the year and usually located in the fuse box under the hood in the engine compartment. Check your owners manual. All in all this should take less than 15 minutes to hook up.
