Kubota L3130
I have a 05 L3130GST that will not start, all controls are in the correct position (Neutral, PTO, sitting on the seat) I get a "Shuttle Neutral" message and the tractor will not start and all the dash lights seem to be working. All Fuses look good. When looking it over tonight I have noticed that there is a green wire female connector to the right rear of the seat by the pto controller and it looks like some critter has had a snack. What does this connector go to? I don't see a male end that would plug into this.

Is this the source of the no start condition? If not, what do I need to check? I assume that this is a safety switch issue. Is there anyway to bypass these so I can start it and get it in the shop where all the tools and fan are? (I'm in southern AZ, so a fan is a must)

Thanks for the help!

I think you found the problem, Buddy. Neutral safety switch is open. Generally,
these safety switches are closed when the condition is met (brake switch, PTO
switch, seat switch, etc.).

Whether or not you have the wiring diagram, you need to get under the sheet metal
and find the other wire.

IIRC, that green wire is for a worklight. The SHUTTLE NEUTRAL error means that the sensor that says that its in neutral isn't getting tripped.

If you want to start it just to move it to where it will be easier to work on....
AFTER you are sure the shuttle is in neutral AND the GST is in neutral, go to the starter and jump the small terminal to the large terminal, that will spin the starter and the engine will start.... turn the key to on and everything will be working normal... then key to off will kill the engine... Check all fuses again, make sure all the fuses by the battery are plugged in and tight, check for wires under the operators deck being torn loose. Check seat switch wires also.

By the right side of the seat there are wires for the work lights. There should also be 2 4 pin connectors with one female and one male with dummy plugs on them. These are for moving tractor if the GST ECU fails one ground wire and 3 positive for energizing 2 shifters and the clutch solenoid. To move tractor in an emergency you disconnect the GST ECU and plug these together to lock the 1st gear they draw there power from same fuse as the work light circuit.

The Intellipanel ECU flashing SHUTTLE means there is not a completed circuit between panel, switch and 12v. One of the 5 amp fuses should feed it and the switch is by where the shuttle lever connects to transmission.

Thanks for suggestions/hints. Had time this morning to look it over an sure enough a critter had decided to crew thru the wiring harness under the dash. The wire bundle that goes from under the center dash to a hockey puck lucking switch that was mounted to the top of the transmission. Pretty easy to get everything out, found out that 3 of the six wires were completely crewed thru and the other 3 must have been desert since he was just starting on those. Spliced new wire in (at least he left the ends were I could splice) wrapped in electrical tape then the whole thing with gorilla tape. Tractor is back up and running..... Just in time for chores tomorrow.

Over the years only had one problem where the keystop fuse blew for some reason and had some brush pull some wires off the side of the transmission. Good you found the problem.
