anyone know the way to rout the wires to the dash, and the proper location for the voltage regulator for the ym240? I have a new fuse box, has anyone rigged up a waterproof backing for this new fuse box? Thanks, jbrd

hello and welcome to TBN. You can find lots of info here and I am sure that a member named "California" will post a pic of what you need shortly. He has a 240. I will give you a wiring diagram of a 240 that has been posted a few times. Almost always the voltage regulator goes on the left side of the firewall.

Thanks for the response. After you replied I found the two bolt holes that matched the regulator on the left side of the firewall. Thanks for the wiring diagram. Your tractor looks much nicer than the one I'm working on. It does sound like a simple problem,but routing the wires to the dash so they don't get dinged up is a real head scratcher for me. Comments on mine:
I don't know what that wire is, that comes out of the steering column and ends in an un-connected male connector.
I remember now that one of my initial renovations upon purchase was to put individual glass fuses in place of the taped-up mess I found on the fuse panel. That is the original fuse panel (with cover missing) that everything is connected to.
Horn and (missing) turn signals don't work. Headlights, charging and starting system, and dash idiot lights work properly.

Thanks, that really helps, I put the voltage regulator right where yours is, and I'm going to put the new fuse box where the old one was as in your picture, the wiring to the new fuse box enters the back so I'm going to make a bracket to bring it out an inch or so from the fuel tank. If you're ever around Julian I'll buy you a pie. Thanks again, jbrd
