I have a 2 cylinder Wisconsin motor on a Hobart welder. I got it running and it ran like a champ.. Drained the gas and let it stand for a month. Filled with gas and tried to get it running and hasn't run right since. The magneto has big hole in it, but it still was running good. The spark is sparatic on the plugs and through the hole I can see the spark on the plug is hit and miss. Can anyone tell me what they think it could be. I know I need the magneto cover because it is no good. I have cleaned the carb 6 times so I know it isn't that. Also cleaned the fuel pump. I was thinking of getting a rotor first and trying that. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Get the mag fixed first and as far as the carb goes I went through the same thing with a Kohler. Ended up being the fuel hose looked good on the outside but was the old type hose that was not compatible with the ethanol that is now if fuel. I keep getting crud in the carb. Replace the filter and fuel hoses and all is good now.

Thanks, It has hard fuel line from the tank to the carb. I even pulled the line from tank just to make sure something wasn't on the end getting sucked up. I had it running great, can't think of what happened in the time I let it set and tried to run it again. Thanks for the reply.
