On my wonderful MF 130, I noticed that my fan pulley was loose and wobbly. Since the metal shroud keeps my big hands out from touching the end of the fan sheave, I was wondering what holds that sheave in place? Is it a nut, because if it is one, I don't have one in place there.

If the water pump is similar to the 135. The pulley is not bolted to the pump. The shaft is heated and it's pressed on. If you have a wobbling fan it could be as mentioned bad bearings? You can goto www.agcopartsbook.com online and lookup your tractor and find the part number if your pump needs replacing. There are a few tricks to make that job easy.

As in unbolting the side panels then loosen the lower bolts near the left and right bottom of the radiator with a 13/16 wrench. This allows you to tilt the entire sheet metal forward. Of, don't forget to unbolt the hood hinge. Loosen the lower two bolts enough to pivot the sheet metal enough to remove the radiator. Take left bolt out of bottom of radiator and just loosen the right one. One side is slotted. Once you get the radiator out of the way you can tear into the water pump. I can do that proceedure in less that thirty minutes. On the fan. I removed the fan and repainted mine and put yellow strips on the tips kind of like airplane propellor. That way I can visually see the fan when running.

I sure would like to see some pictures of your 130. We don't see them here very often. -kid
