You beat me to it. Driving backwards in slippery snow and has rops down? Let's hope he stays lucky so he can keep posting here.

Have fun. I really like my blower (Allied 74"). It gets the snow away from the driveway without ruining the plants next to it. Also I have never damaged my driveway with the blower which is more than I can say for the blade on the front end.

I know - shame on me /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif. FWIW I was on a very flat area...

Looking forward to clearing the driveway tonight with the "new" blower. Would have done it this morning, but the state (road) and town (sidewalk) weren't done yet. I didn't feel like messing around twice. That's why I bought it - blow once per storm!

That's a nice setup! Since you live in an area where you get a lot of snow, then it's a really nice addition to your collection of attachments.

Airport runways?

DIYGUY!!! What a great lookin' machine! Showed the pic to my wife with a comment about next year's Christmas present, but all she commented on was your apparent illness. Claims she's never seen a 'man' /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifshop with a tractor and tools in it where the floor was actually visible! Things neatly on the wall and other mumblings....hmmmm....

Re: Airport runways?

mrcaptainbob - I see you're in Jackson county Michigan. I grew up in Fitchburg, in Ingham county just across the county line, on a farm where my brother still lives. What part of Jackson county are you in?

Believe it or not, my garage is almost as organized as Hazmat's! It's out of necessity, the neater things are the more things it will hold.

I think he was referring to DIYGuy's garage. I hope your garage is more organized than mine (It's a mess).

Got to use the blower last night after I gave it a little TLC that it needed. Had to re-center the cable that rotates the chute to get full left & right rotation. Also the impeller shear bolt was loose causing the impeller to clank against the housing while running. After tightening it - I could barely hear it run.

I ordered the manual from NH. Still need to change the gear oil - I checked the level, but it looked like somebody put grease in there instead of oil /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif But, there is a grease fitting nearby /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

She kicked a few rocks around, but overall I'd say about 2% of the volume I'd get by plowing. It did clog up on the wet slush at the street (salted) but every blower I've ever used would have as well. Maybe some PAM in the chute before the next storm.
