Gordon,

Still kicking...yes! I'm still visiting the board, just can't even begin to "keep up" with all of the posts like I could in the "good ole days"! I try to read what I can when I have time, but with school going strong and papers to grade and two teenagers in the house and girls basketball and boys soccer and oh yea, using the Mighty TC18, I don't have time to post like I'd like to. I've got about 180 hours on the TC18 now and still love it!

Take care and may God bless all Americans...even if they own ORANGE tractors! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bird,

Still around, just lurking and reading more than posting these days.

Jim, ever been up close to one of those B52's? I live near Sacramento where we had one of the 2 US nuclear strike forces that used B52's. Every now and then they would fly about 8 of those B52's off the runway one after another. That base is gone now, was there since WW1. They are one long wing span plane. With its 8 jet engines, it had nearly the power of the Mighty TC 18, Rat....

Rat.
It was really something to watch those guys when "scrambled". They'd have one plane just lifting off, with another already heading down the runway. Man, to see the smoke pour outa those motors as they poured on the go juice!

I grew up in Orangvale, just across the river from Mather, and saw that a lot. It was cool in my Intel days, when we saw the occasional B1 cruising over there too.

Jim,
Along your same line, here's a link to Boeing's presentation, for those who haven't seen it. This is a MS Powerpoint Slide Show. (I don't believe you can view this with Netscape. The best way to view it is, using Internet Explorer, right click on the link above, save it to your computer and then run from your computer.)
