Interesting. I'm curious about how you made this identification. I'm no expert in Case tractors so I was going by the front wheels/grill and the rear fenders. The serial number got me in the ballpark, but I couldn't narrow the choices (C, D, LA, R, S, and V).
Of the four case models of that era (late 40's early 50's), the V, S, D and L, The V series didn't have magnito ignition, the D series and L series were longer blocks and as such you would not be able to see the top of the valve cover, and the serial number ends in S (S-series) and begins in 54 (subtract 4 from the first two numbers and you have the year), a 1950 Case S (the case SC was the Row Crop so it was a tricycle front, The Case SO was an orchard tractor so it has covers over the rear wheels, and the case SI was very rare.
If I lived closer, I'd be interested. . . . . .
