- john deere 4310
hi! new to forum. just one of many new old guys.
i have a john deere 4310 geared model with an epowrReverser. after it rains, the engine will start and run but the tractor will not move. if i put the tractor in nuetral and the power reverser in neutral and pump the clutch up and down a couple of times, then put the tractor in gear and the epowereverser to forward or reverse, the tractor will move about two feet and stop. the engine will still be running.
i repeat several times with same results. if i leave the tractor running for about 20 minutes, it will usually work regularly. i know something is getting wet, but i do not know what or how it is getting wet.
i not know where to start trouble shooting or what to replace. not electrically inclined at all. i tend to make the magic smoke come out.
i have had the tractor for about 15 years and put only low hours to move horse poop and snow. the problem only showed up this year.
any ideas to solve?
thanks george tarleton
