MF 245, 2635
I have two tractors. I have had a MF 245 for quite some time and bought a MF 2625 last fall. I have used the 2625 for so far has been bush hogging. Today I went to attach my box scrape and the hitch arms don't come down as far as my 245 so even though I got it attached it will not reach the ground on level soil. Am I missing something? Does the bigger tractor need different implements or an adapter? Thanks - Ken

Unless it is a real econobox, you should be able to adjust your lift links to change the range of motion of the draft links. Have you looked in your operator's manual, or taken a good look at the lift links?

One side is not easily adjustible. On my 245 both sides have and adjustment, but on this one I have to take off the lift arm on the left side to adjust it. Seems like a pain, and I wondered if I was missing something or if this being a cheap box (from Tractor Supply) if the specs were off.

So you knew the answer before posting the question.

But maybe did not want to believe it. Could it be that off?

Are there multiple holes on the lower arms (horizontal arms that the blade hooks onto) for the sidelinks (vertical arms that connect the piece that actually does the lifting) to hook into? That could cause them to not drop enough.

I just looked at pictures of both the 245 and the 2625.
Looks like the 2625 is a considerably bigger tractor with larger tires and more ground clearance. In fact I'd guess the 2625 use Cat 2 implements.

You might be able to adjust the draft link arms (on the 2625) to go lower, but you'll lose lifting height if you need it on other implements. You may also need a longer top link to use that ballast box (with the 2625)

If the 2625 has draft control, that lever may have gotten raised enough to prevent the arms from dropping as far as they should. Lower the draft control lever as far as it will go, then try lowering the position control. Hope this helps.

Do you have the top link long enough?

When my 4010 and LX4 arrived from the dealer, I found that the LX4 wouldn't lift very high because the bottom lift pegs were in the wrong position such that it was impossible for the top link to be shorter than the bottom lift links (without having the back wheel off the ground). When lifting, the longer top link would just drive the tail wheel into the ground. The front would lift a little bit, but not much. Repositioning the lift pegs solved the problem.

You may have something like the opposite of what I experienced.

That seems right. It was an easy fix as the factor setting was all the way up, and only one side was easily adjustable. On my old tractor both sides have an easy adjustment. On this one the left side is manual and requires removing a few items and then lowering the arm. Everything is good now.
