MF 135
Can anyone help? My MF135 was running fine, switched off for short while, went to re-start and nothing. It is the 'nothing' you get if you forget to select 'S' ie neutral on the High/Low ratio when starting. My best guess is maybe an electric connection/wire come loose. What is it about the S position that allows you to start? Is it simply an electrical connection, or a mechanical one? I've found a couple of loose wires around in front of the main gear lever, could perhaps have been loose for many years or might they be the problem here? Can anyone tell me 1) does this sound like an electrical connection problem?, 2) can anyone explain, or even better refer me to a photograph, of how the S position on the High/Low ratio lever does it's job? Maybe even a photo of where my loose wires should go?!

Sounds like the safety switch circuit or the start switch have issues. Best solution is to get a wiring diagram and a meter to see where the circuit is not being completed.

There is a fuse in the circuit as well as the neutral safety switch. I googled MF 135 wiring diagram and under images found pages with them. Consider doing the same.

Check fuse - check neutral safety switch. Esle, check the the ignition switch that it gives 12v to the start solenoid circuit and trace from there.
