wood or pellet stoves

/ wood or pellet stoves #11
Most, if not all, of the corn burning stoves are actually listed as biomass stoves and are capable of burning corn or wood pellets or a mixture of both. The folks operating these units have found that a certain percentage of corn to wood pellets is the most economical and best burn in their units. I agree that the multi-fuel unit would be better in several ways but the multi fuel units are generally not as efficient or refined as the dedicated wood pellet units. The multi fuel stoves can burn a variety of biomass such as cherry pits and some other grains giving you maximum versatility should availability or price of one fuel become a problem.

Not much corn in western washington.

Good post Ronmar. You clearly speak from experience.
