Woodchips for the garden.

This was a 10Wx60Lx4H pile of wood chips Mary and I moved.

We used a small motorcycle trailer to haul the chips to the backyard. It was nice to fill the trailer with the FEL, but we were stuck emptying it by hand.

If you think you will be doing that again, try one of those fabric unloaders that fit a pickup. I have one for an old chevy and it sure makes firewood and gravel a lot easier to get off. Ought to be smooth sailing with wood chips - long as you have enough ground clearance to swing the handle.

I'll bet a sheet of plywood with a hole in it to hook a chain to could be laid on the bottom of the trailer and pulled out to remove the wood chips. Of course it looks like you have enough wood chips to last a long time, so I am to late with this idea, I would guess.

When I have to load and unload something from my little ATV-pulled trailer I lay a heavy tarp in it with ropes tied to the grommets at the front end. I load the trailer, drive it to where I want the stuff dumped, and pull the ropes/chains over the back with the Kubota. Pulls the contents right out!

Another thing I haul a lot of is brush. To make removal easier I start by attaching a tow strap to a tie down on the side of the trailer closest to where I'll be dumping the stuff. Lay the strap across the bottom of the trailer and over the other side. Pile your brush on top of the strap, then toss the end over the full load. Drive to where you're going. Grab the end of the strap and pull the entire load right over the side of the trailer. Works like a charm!

Hey those sound like good ideas! My next chore is to move a small mountain of dirt. Maybe I can use some of these ideas then.
