I have my brand new WoodMax SB60 installed and setup on my Mahindra XLS26. I seem to be having a bit of difficulty setting the blower cutting edge angle. Should the blower be level to the ground (as set on a flat garage floor) or should there be some degree incline as in some "down bubble"? We are just getting our first real snow here in the Cascades of Oregon. My efforts today were less than stellar. The snow is really light and the wind was really strong so the blowing was all over the place. At least I have an enclosed cab and the electric chute rotation was fantastic!

I would think that flat to the ground would be optimum. I'd start there and see how it goes. What problems were you having?

I'm not getting a good amount of snow into the blower; It seems to ride over the snow instead of taking a bite. I was also just dropping the blower to the float position. I tried raising it a little and that seem to do better than in the float position.

You may try lengthening your top link to push the top of the blower further from the tractor so the cutting edge is at a slight down angle to the road surface.

I have a pull-type(inverted) blower so it is opposite. To get a more aggressive "bite" at the snow I shorten my top link to bring the top of the blower closer to the tractor.

Also, if you are on pavement or packed snow don't have the skid shoes on the road surface. Let the cutting edge carry the weight at a down angle similar to how you position a knife blade to skin insulation off an electrical wire.

Actually, I almost never use the skid shoes and just use the top link to adjust how aggressive or non-aggressive the blower's cutting edge will be.

Having customers with many different driveway configurations, my solution was rear hydraulics with top n tilt kit. Now if we could just receive some snow, I can actually pay myself back for it.

If you have a height setting (a "stop" on your rockshaft lever (the control for the 3PH)) for the 3PH, ensure it allows full down. Then adjust the top link a bit....this would be lengthening the top link...to get your blower's cutting edge a bit more aggressive.
Although they look pretty low, you might need to reposition the skid shoes too.
Even with an asphalt drive, I doubt you get a completely "clean" surface. If you have a gravel drive, you don't want the cutting edge too aggressive or the blower taking a too aggressive "bite".
Let us know if any of these suggestions work for you...

The skids are all the way down. I'm on gravel and at this point don't have a good frozen base. Weatherman is calling for more snow this weekend. I'll be back up at the cabin this weekend and give these suggestions a go! Question: should the skid shoes be parallel to the cutting edge, regardless of the cutting edge angle?

I've never tried angling (which is what I think you mean) the shoes...can't hurt to try that though. Let us know how that works.

I lengthened the top link which gave me some "down bubble" on the cutting edge. Worked much better but I still could not drop it full float without digging into the gravel. Not a big deal as I just held the unit up a little and tightened down the limiter knob. I may try to drop the skit shoes a notch and see how that goes. Tried to use the blower as a back blade to get between the house and garage which resulted in a total shute blockage. Won't do that again! All in all very pleased with the setup and love that 12v shute rotation! More heavy snow coming the Cascades this weekend so I am sure I'll be back up there soon.
