I'm wondering if it will handle it as in lift it. The Kubota is a GL 3540 with loader and unloaded industrial tires. Gear transmission. 29.5 PTO hp. 2650 lbs of lift 24 inches behind the pins. Woods 720 BB cutter is 6 feet and 1200 pounds. Woods recommends 30 HP as minimum.
Mowing will be trimming around trees/edges and backing into rose bushes. I want the heavier duty cutter as it will hit some limbs that are down and around. I will mow with the loader and bucket on the tractor since we have lots of little sink holes and I have to have the loader to lift the front end out of the hole when it sinks into one. Tractor is 4wd.
I'm thinking I'll be ok on the power but wonder about the hitch lifting that longer heavy cutter. If it was just mowing grass I would sure get the 72 lighter model but don't want to have to fret every time I run over a big multiflora rose bush. I could also run simi mount and leave off the toplink if it won't lift it but would like it to ride 3 pt. Land is gentle rolling and very well known, as in no surprises as I've mowed every inch of it before. Any advice will be appreciated.
