I'm going to look at a 2000 woods 750 backhoe for my b2400 24hp. The seller says its a 3 point mount with no subframe needed. I've read that I should have a subframe mount. Do I need one and can I get one for a 2000 backhoe? I'm new to backhoes so HELP!!!

I'm busy right now, don't have the time to search, but check this site out.Woods Equipment Company - Manuals might not be the right one, but I'm pretty sure Woods makes a subframe that'll work.

You should be able to get subframe from Woods. But I think this size backhoe is pushing the limits for your machine. What do others think??

Its actually a bh7500 if that makes a difference. The seller says it would work fine but I'm open to your opinions since I'm no expert.

When I bought my 95 New Holland 1715 with a woods 750 BH, I asked about sub-frame and three point hitches.... they told me a three point was fine with a Woods 750 if I wanted to break my tractor in half
Not sure if that applies to a B7500 or not.

I had a Ford 1900 with a Woods 750 three-point backhoe and didn't know about a subframe. I dug big rocks in Miane with it and some were more than the backhoe could handle. I really worked it because I didn't know any better. Thankfully, nothing broke. It took a half-hour and plenty of salty language to hook it up or take it off.
Today I have a sub-frame backhoe and love it. Wow what a difference in hookup. And no fear of breaking the tractor castings.

I think the BH7500 is smaller than the 750 but I think either might be too big for your tractor. Maybe a 6500 would be better. I would look it up on the Woods website and might even give the company a call. If they suggest it as a fit, OK. If not, the right one will come along.

Ummmmmm, I've had a Woods 750 backhoe mounted on a Yanmar 155D for probably 15 years. The tractor is a little lite in the front end so I put a large cast iron weight in the front loader. It has done yeomans duty for all this time with never a problem. I've used it to dig curtain drains, a small pond, well water pipe trenches, remove stumps and digging along fountation walls to add drainage material. It's the Energizer Bunny of mini backhoes. Most of this work has been done for other people as a cash business and it's paid for itself over and over.

How big in HP or dimension is your Yanmar? Is it a 3 point hitch mount?

15.5 hp 2 cyl diesel, the 750 is a 3 point hitch model. I know it sounds like tractor abuse, but it's worked fine all along.
