Hello all, I’ve posted here in the past people have been very helpful. I’ve given up on getting replacement parts for my ground breaker. Can anyone tell me how to remove the swing frame? I cannot find any information on it, and the site does not carry the manual anymore

I remove the top portion, unfortunately broke what appears to be a pressed fit bearing. Any ideas how to lift the bottom portion out?

Perhaps you could provide us with some photos and a little more detail. I am having a hard time understanding exactly what it is you are trying to do and what has failed.

The collar on top came out with difficulty.there was a bearing which I broke by accident. It is implied in diagrams that it should lift once the collar is off ,

but I can’t get it.

The boom is detached but the upper end where the cylinder attaches has cracked and needs to be removed for proper welding

Any thoughts appreciated.

The way I understand it is that you wish to remove the bracket that the boom and cylinder are attached to. If that is the case then it is a little hard to tell from here but is there a removable bushing at the bottom swivel that is held in place by some bolts? According to the parts manual I do not see anything but you never know.. Other than that have you tried to apply some gentle hammering from underneath to help to dislodge it?

You could also try a bottle jack, giving some pressure from the bottom while hammering.

I tried a very long prybar, trying to lift it straight out and it does move a little bit. I just thought maybe there was some solution I was not aware of. Thanks for taking a look. After breaking the upper bearing, I thought I’d be cautious.

Always pays to be cautious so I would go easy and see what happens.
