Chains Woods backhoe nut/bolt mount and chains

In the attachment, I show how close that nut is to the tire. One person said this precludes chains on the tires.

Anyone get around this?

Okay now. This is the second picture that's blurry. I have new glasses made just for looking at my monitor, so I know it's not me. You need to hold that shutter button down half way for a couple of seconds to let the camera autofocus better, or you don't have it on auto focus and need to put on some glasses!!! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif


For one thing, I'd turn that bolt around so you only have the head on the tire side. That will give you more space.

I have the Woods 4-pt on my CK30 and run chains no problem but yours looks different. Is that a CK20? It doesn't look like they would fit. What is that, 1 inch?

I already took mine off so I cant easily check how much room they use up. If you want I could lay them on there and check sometime.
Maybe you can change the rim/tire offset/wheelbase, I think it shows that in your manual.
Is that the bolt that pins the hoe on? It would be gone with the hoe off.

I don't think you have room to put the bolt in from the tire side unless you tooke the tire off.

I can't tell from the picture if this is something that could be done before mounting the hoe or not. If it can be done before attaching, problem solved. Otherwise, I'd take the tire off.
