Kubota B2400
Local dealer is offering a Woods B.H.6000 12 inch bucket, no subframe for $4999.00.Will pick it up and install.Says that my B2400 wont need a subframe unless I go up to a Woods bh70x($7144.00 w/subframe).Opinions on the price and No subframe comment. $2200.00 more is a big jump. Thanks

I think that the B2400 is very much like the current B7510/B7610, and I have seen the Bh6000 mounted on those tractors..... with a subframe. If you go to the woods site there is a manual for installing the Bh6000 on your tractor, and you can see the details of the subframe mounting there....... hope this helps.

The B2400 is the same frame as a 7510/7610. You don't have to purchase a Woods subframe, although some will tell you its a good idea. I would recommend at a minimum that you purchase the Kubota frame reinforcement kit and the heavy duty top link bracket is mandatory in my opinion. Remember, the backhoe Kubota sold (and warrantied the tractor) with the Kubota name on it was a 3 point hoe. It was a 6.5' reach. The Woods you are looking at is a 6'.

That price seems high I was just quoted for the woods 70x 5800.00 with mount and installed and 6200.00 with factory thumb here in CT

I agree, I think the price is high. I got my BH70-X with subframe & installed for $5,900

I would highly recommend staying away from the 3pt if you plan on doing any major digging.

I will see if I can put the pictures back up tomorrow.
If you do go with the 3pt then make sure your turnbuckles are TIGHT before you start using it.
This is a Woods unit mounted on a L3400.

Since the repair and paying close attention to the turnbuckles before every use we have however not had anymore major problems.
The top link pin does get bent up after awhile, but the tractor is holding out fine.
Also the HD top link kit is a must. Ours initally didn't have it installed (dealer oversight and rookie owners).

OK, I think I get the message. I,m going to shop around for a little better price and get the subframe mount. Better to learn from other peoples misfortunes than find out my own way.

I just paid $$6200 for the Kubota BH75a mounted, but might have jumped on the Woods hoe at your price with the thumb.

Not sure if Kubota finances Woods equipment though.

AFAIK Kubota will finance ANY 3rd party equipment when purchased with a Kubota tractor. My Rhino BX72 box blade and Bradco pallet fork were included in the 0 down, 0% for 36 mo. financing of my GL3240.
