Woods Backhoe

I my son bought a NH TC55 with a Woods backhoe a couple of years ago. He decided the backhoe wasn't enough for him and he bought a small excavator. He now says he wants to get rid of the Woods backhoe because he does not need it and he said I could have it if I want it. The question I have is does anyone know if the subframe will fit my TC33?

I was afraid of that. To make it work I would have to buy a new subframe. I was hoping just a weld here and a hole there would work.

If you are good at fabricating and have the tools, I would give it a shot. It's just steel...

I would not say I am good at fabricating. I have many tools but I always seem to not have the right tool. I could probably do it, but I would not want to show it to anyone. I am getting older and 40lbs seems to be getting uncomfortable to work with. I would not want to work with that weight for more than 30 minutes.

When my son first got it I thought about getting a subframe for my tc33 and we would be able to use it on both of our tractors. I price the subframe from Woods and it seems like it was under $2K. More than I wanted to spend.

My farm and his ranch are over 200 miles apart.

I bet if you took the subframe and your tractor to a local fabrication shop, they could use the original subframe and use it as a model to make one for your tractor substantially cheaper than ordering one.
