I know this subject has come up several times, but I just went by the dealership about purchasing one for myself.

I was quoted $4995 installed, which seemed like an OK price. I was also told that the way the 2230 seat was retrofitted, you were physically further back...forward...toward the front...whatever...in the tractor which negated the need for the larger foldable ROPS. Apparently, you sit more 'under' the ROPS with the OEM unit and more toward the steering wheel with the Woods unit. At least that's my understanding.

The odd thing is that my dealer said you COULD NOT have the MMM attached when the BH was attached. I have no clue why. I could MAYBE understand that you couldn't USE the MMM for some reason...can't go down far enough or something. Or perhaps it just isn't recommended.

Any idea what physical conflict could exist between the BH and the MMM? Seems like a bit of a limitation for the "quick hit" projects that I've become accustomed to knocking out.

Mine was $5200 installed last spring, so that price seems decent.

Mine is on a BX2200 not the 2230 but I doubt that is true. The Woods kit just replaces the seat bracket with a swivel bracket, which is the same way it works on the BX23. My seat is in exactly the same spot as before the installation. It makes it very handy for actually driving the tractor, something which I do MUCH more of!:D

In short... no. On my installation I can't see any reason why you could not have them all mounted at the same time. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure that I did have them all physically mounted at the same time. I think it's a recommendation that you don't use the back hoe with the mowing deck nstalled, however. There was some discussion here as to the reasons but I don't remember what the outcome was. I don't think there was a concensus, though!:D

Before this whole thread goes "down that road" since you already own the BX2230 and are now looking to put a back hoe on then this will give you pretty much the same functionality of the original Kubota hoe that came on the BX23 except for the ROPS. If you don't fit under the ROPS this solution isn't for you.

I fit under my ROPS OK. Hopefully I won't klunk my head too many times. I really like the smaller ROPS over the big basket handle on the 23/24. I'm an average guy...185#, 6'-0"...guess I could always put some bumper foam on there if I get too excited. Or wear a hard hat.

Thanks for confirming my thoughts on the MMM...they don't want you to use it, but there isn't a physical conflict to it being mounted. Makes sense.
