Woods BH90x Backhoe for TN75DA

It is Andy's 75 that I was referring to in the trailer hauling question,. Now, on his 1050 hoe. I would never have a hoe with simple three point mount and not hanging on a full, sub frame, and four point mount, This being said, I have run Andy's 1050, and it is not like any three point I have seen before,. Big, thick,. heavy high tensile steel bracing, vertical, horizintal and diagonal, all together making for a very strong set up. I have dug with his hoe, purposely burying the bucket so I could "force" the hoe to whip around the machine and watch for the three point to flex or break. Neither happened... Only thing I cannot answer is , if, this is a standard hook up by Woods complete with all the angle parts included or did his dealer add to this by really beefing it up... Andy will have to answer this question.

Standard Woods. In fact I don't even have the safety chains that Woods supplied installed as the only time they would be necessary is if 2 of the tractor mounts broke off.

This is really a follow-up question for AndyMA if he sees it, or anyone else who knows.

With loaded rear tires and a Woods 1050 backhoe on the 3 pt of a cab TN75, is there any excess rear weight issue or difficulty going up the ramps and beavertail on a deckover trailer? Loader low and/or weighted?

Or is one option to back up the ramps, leading with the 1050, so that you could always use the loader bucket for stability as req'd?

Thanks

John

P.S. 16 days to possession, and then I can have a tractor-related pic/signature :)

Nah, it balances as well as any 10,000 lb machine can.

What size tires are you running? I have 16.9x30 R1 rears.

I don't know the tire sizes; we've had our two home and equipment inspections at the farm, the seller is on the left coast looking to buy a new place, and we don't take possession for two weeks ...

Then we'll see about things like tire sizes, maintenance needs, a new diesel supply contract, security, a new backhoe, posthole digger, chipper, disc set, maybe some QA forks ... oh yeah, and learn how to operate it safely and well ... and that's just the tractor!

Truck and trailer will follow ...

Thanks

Well I know you'll love the tractor. The tire sizes matter quite a bit as the difference between 16.9x28 and 16.9x30 are a couple of inches which matter quite a bot when loading or unloading. Functionally I don' tthink either size matters that much except you loose a little road speed with the smaller tires. BTW, TN's do come with even smaller tires.

Do you mean the tire size matters when loading onto the deck-between trailer wheel wells, going up the ramps, or in some other circumstances?
