I need help.
I found a woods BH model BX70 with a 3 point hook up today.it runs off the tractor HYD,system.it is a new hoe..my question is.........Does it hold up to general dirt and lite rock digging? i will do a little tree pulling on small cedar trees and sumac trees here in texas.the frame work looks a little light.and the bucket supports and the swing support looks weak.this BH will go on a 65 horse power mahrindra tractor.
Please advise me on this BH.The dealer only wants 4100.00 for it.it is the last one one is lot.he is going out of business.but i don't want to spend the money on something that will break down.
By the way it does come with the factory warranty.

Woods has a very good reputation for quality products. I have a 13 year old Woods 7-1/2 foot 3-point backhoe that has performed admirably for me. I would not hesitate to buy another one. Your tractor should have adequate flow to give you the operating speed that you want. By the way, mine cost $4500 new.

Are you sure it's not a BH70-X Backhoe?

I think it's a little small fit your machine...according the the Woods site it's made for CUT's in the 18hp-40hp range. You might destroy it on your machine.

I'm curious how you could destroy the backhoe by hooking to a bigger machine? As long at you dont surpass the gpm flow requirement, the bh is dependent on it's self.

The stabilizers could easily be damaged trying to support the weight of a tractor that is to large/heavy then what its designed for.

You can't really hurt it. The BH70-X can prob lift the back end of a 6000#
tractor, yes, but that won't hurt it. As you said, the forces a hoe delivers
is all from the hoe. If it can't lift the tractor, it won't....it just goes to relief.
