I have just inherited a 1972 woods Dixie cutter M5. I need to replace the blades on it but when I try to googles parts and research forums people talk about the M5-4 or other variants.

My questions are. What痴 the difference between the M5 and the M5-4? And does anyone have a PDF of the manual so I can get a list of part numbers?

I did a quick check, and looks like all M5 models use the same blade, PN 6866. Here's an exploded view of the M5-4, and parts list. Woods M5-4 Single Spindle Single Spindle Cutter Parts

There is a separate parts list for models made from '71, to '90. Without looking, I'd have to guess the difference is in the structure, or a different gear box/drive line.
