Buying Advice Woods or frontier pwr rake & attachment warranty

What would you do if given the choice between a Woods TPR 7200 power rake and a Frontier PR1172 power rake for the same money?
No other differences except perhaps an earlier delivery of the Woods?

On a related topic, does the John Deere Extended Service Plan also extend to the attachments purchased at the same time as a tractor?
Such as fel, bh, or power rake?

Who manufactures the Frontier model? Are they the same duty machines - materials, design, construction? Apples vs apples comparison.

I'd go directly to the manager or owner of the dealership with that question regarding warranty extension - not the salesman.

Perhaps I should have posted this question in the attachments thread, but Frontier seems so Deere specific that I felt I'd get better opinions here.

They're the same rake, both made by Harley. I've got the woods unit and have called harley directly for parts on several occasions. Landpride makes there own but almost all the others are made by Harley.

They are one & the same machine...

That being said, if I were in your shoes, without a doubt I'd buy the Frontier...Why? Because the paint job is so much nicer looking!

If I have one regret in tractor purchases thus far, its I bought the OEM version of the Frontier SB1174... At the time I was shopping the Frontier blowers had been just announced and my dealer couldnt promise me one by snowfall...hey at least they were honest! Same money, same exact blower...IMO the green one looks much better. Now that I've got 2 seasons on mine, its not worth trading or trying to sell mine. when it gets time for a paint job I will be repainting & redecaling with the Frontier decals and the beautiful green paint :thumbsup:
