I have a PRD8400. Purchased it about three years ago, and am very pleased with it so far.

You need to phone some dealers in your area to get accurate current pricing. The prices on these have varied consideraby over the past few years due to large variations in the prices of steel and transportation (fuel). I paid about $3,000 for mine. My friend bought one a few months before I did and only paid about $2,200 for his. A few months after I bought mine, they were selling for $3,500+ in this area.

 $3200 out the door for a Woods PRD8400 painted John Deere green. After looking at 7 different brands + past experience I came to an easy conclusion.

Congratulations!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine. By the way: mine is just the standard Woods color.

I paid 2K for a PRD 72" model 3 years ago. Dealer cost was $1840 at that time. I would expect an 84" model to run between 2500 to 3000 depending on the area of the country that you are in. Excellent mowers and built real heavy.

Purchased my PRD8400 last year used, only one year old. Got a great deal on ebay $1750. It is the smoothest mower I have ever seen (or heard, which makes a difference if you use it a lot.) Check ebay and Craigslist in your area. You might get lucky as I did, but new off the lot is hard to beat (full warranty) and John Deere green...
