My rake seems to be bowed or bent. I noticed recently that the center section digs much better than the sides. From the attached pic you can see that the tines on the left side are not touching the trailer floor.
Anyone heard of this? Can it be fixed? I cant tell if it is a tine issue or if the whole thing is bowed/bent. It is a Woods LRC60

It looks as if you bent the outer tines(very common) and are missing one also. Sometimes they can be bent back but most just replace them. It's hard to say from the pic but I can't see if anything else is bent.

I damaged my Woods rake even more dramatically when I snagged a hidden stump. Ended up taking off all the tines and having a welding shop straighten and reinforce the main beam. If your main beam is twisted or bent you will either need to do the same or replace it. The Woods part is available but costs $300.

I cannot tell from your photo if it is just bent tines. I replace bent tines as they tend to snap if you attempt to bend them back.

It appears that you twisted the horizontal piece that the tines are bolted to. Sight down that long piece and you should be able to confirm that way.

Looks like your left side is a little tweaked. I just bought a pre-tweaked rake from CL for a healthy discount vs new. Spent about an hour untweaking it. Removed the tines on that side. Got Grampa's old Stilson and a 4' section of 2" pipe, which just fit over the wrench's handle. Slowly applied opposite twist, stopped & sighted down the length as easygo described, applied more twist, checked, etc. About 5 iterations and I can't see much of any twist now. I suspect this is going to be part of owning and operating a rake for me for the forseable future. May try reinforcing it if frequent untweaking starts getting old.

I have a no-name 7' landscape rake that's been bent 3 x.

A local welder heated it up and bent it back each time. .It's worked fine.

I probably should get a 5-footer for raking woods roads though.
