I'm looking for a landscape rake for my L35 Kubota. I just looked at the Woods web site. The specs say the heavy duty weighs about 50 pounds more but the picture is poor and I can't see where the heavy duty is beefed up. In fact, I can't see much of the Heavy Duty model at all.

I'm looking for a rake with both scarifiers and guage wheels for maintaining crushed stone driveways and parking areas. Does anyone have knowledge of the difference in these two models. Are the guage wheels and scarifiers the same. Any info on differences including extra strength vs additional cost would be welcomed.

I have the heavy duty rake LR800, but it was set up by the dealer like the LR108. So, it has the twin gage wheels rather than the long armed single wheel.

If you set your computer monitor zoom (lower right corner) to 200% or more you can see some of the detail. Also, look under "All Product Literature" and then "Landscape Equipment - Full Line" at the Woods site and view the brochure which has more information and better pictures. Try this link.

The rakes are constructed very similar. One major difference if for the heavy duty model to "offset", that is not only can the rake be angled, but there is a second angle adjustment near the 3-pt attaching point, which allows the main arm to angle as well, thereby allowing the rake to extend well off to one side or the other.

I don't think the heavy duty version is otherwise more heavy duty. It is quite possible the tandem gage wheels for the medium duty version also fit the heavy unit, as the mounting plate is present and looks the same. Although both have a drop down blade option, I don't think either has a means of attaching a scarifier bar. York has such a feature in some of theirs, but it, like their rakes comes at a premium price without IMHO any improvement in quality or heavier (in fact York, like Landpride, lighter) construction. Maybe a heavy duty rake along with a relatively lightweigh box blade, or one of the multi-duty grader units would be better for your intended purpose.
