Anyone see a problem putting the clevis here to drag logs with? Seems like a robust enough spot to me.
Finally found a blade that seemed useful for the $$. It has the TILT feature, which is important to me. I found to get that function on a new blade brings a pretty high price tag. It's around 270 lb and the kickstand when up, makes a handy spot for weights to tip the scales at 370 lb
I originally financed upon a new tractor purchase, a $550 Land Pride RB0560, It weighed 150 lb and didn't take long to realize it wasn't what I wanted for that kind of money. This was $300 in the local classifieds and all it needed was cleaning and paint.
I'd love to find a used 72" replacement blade to have for this setup, along with the 72" rake since it appears they all mount the same to the main body. The way it's designed I feel like this thing could possibly accept an array of home-made tools mounted in place of the blade, it's just a big plate w/ 4 bolt holes. I got cultivating on my mind!
Now some telescopic lower link supports would be great, to quickly adjust the left/right position since when the blade is angled it falls short of the rear wheel track being only a 60" I can kick it left or right a pretty good ways though, which helps. I want the strength of the sold telescopic links also, for when I need to spin the blade around and push, only makes sense that would be pretty much a requirement for that duty, am I right there? Kubota L8430 is the kit.
I apologize if this was a waste of your time, but figured my experience and thoughts on this might be helpful to someone!
