Woods RB600 Rear Blade

Does anyone have any information on one of these baldes? I located a used one and I'm trying to find some specifications. Having little to no luck on-line or on the Woods site. The owner says it's a 7ft blade but I have an idea it's 6ft.
1. Are they a light, medium or heavy duty blade. I'm looking for use in dirt with a 35hp, 4 wheel drive Kubota..
2. Any idea on weight?
3. Does the blade offset and if so, might you know how much.
4. Any idea of moldboard height?

Any information on the blade or a web site where I could find specifications would be appreciated. I'd just drive over and take a look at it but it's located about 80 miles from my home.

From what I can find on the net it looks like your suspicions are correct. A RB600 is a 6' blade. A RB700 would be a 7'. Here is a link to a parts list I found.

I have an RB84 which is used mostly for snow removal. It is longer than the RB600.

IMHO the RB84 pivot assy is the weak link. Mine completely fell apart and had to be rewelded.

I have bent the blade several times. To be fair to Woods, I realize that there is no trip edge and something has to give sometimes when moving snow in mid range speed.

I don't have a weight but I don't have too much trouble moving it by myself when I need to. I have used it to spread and level dirt and gravel some. It will not dig down into sod or hard packed soil.

IMHO this is not a heavy duty blade.

The RB84 blade will rotate in two planes. 1-You can rotate one end of the blade up or down. 2-You can rotate one end forward or back. For snow plowing I remove the pin for the up/down rotation so the blade will follow the contour of my drives.

I google searched 'rb600' and found an auction site with photos. The rb600 in those photos looks lighter than my RB84. It also looks to be able to offset the blade right or left of center. I don't see the problematic hub that allows the blade to tip up or down on my RB84. That might be a good thing.

I pull my RB84 with a 34HP Kubota.

For the right price, after you check the hub for any signs of cracks, you will likely find it sufficient.

I've been unable to find any specs. I've read some posts on other sites, that refer to a RB600 weight of 400#. If that is factual, I believe a RB600 would fall between the newer 272# standard weight RB72 and the 500# medium weight HBL72.

I'm finding that some of the used equipment advertisements may not be accurate. I've seen some used blades advertised as medium to heavey duty but the manufacture specs., list them as light duty. Woods' lists their medium duty HBL72 @ 500#. With that in mind, I'm assuming that any medium weight blade should be close to 500#, unless they are using heigh strength steel.

DavidVT, brings up an interesting point. If you run the blade into something that is too large to move, something has to give. There is no trip system on a rear blade. Either the blade bends, the three point hitch breaks or the tractor looses traction. I'm using a 35hp, 4 wheel drive Kubota L35. I'm looking for a used blade that will cause the L35 to loose traction before anything breaks.

i have a rb600 or rb601 woods blade. my blade will pivot out past my tires my tires are set at approx. 9 ' to the outside of the tire. where the regular pivot on the blade is that shaft at the bottom has a pin you pull out and you can rotate blade down 2 posistions each way you can cut a ditch or almost plow with this blade. my blade weighs enough that 3 people can just barely pick it up. i know its not rated for 85 hp. but my cousin used my blade on a 85 hp tractor and made ditches in yellow clay. you canlt hardly tear up my blade . i've cut lots of ditches with my blade. i think my blade is rb601 . my blade is catagory II . if you need any more information you can call me 618-889-3185
