I do a lot of grading on my gravel road and a toothed cutting edge would be useful. I noticed recently that the giant road grader blade used on the nearby gravel state road is toothed, the teeth are about 2 inches and it looks like they are part of a removable cutting edge. Does anyone know if such a thing exists for tractor blades? It looks pretty easy to remove the cutting edge that came with the blade.

Those type of cutting edges are designed to cut ice pack. Do a search for "serrated cutting edges", and you should find what you are looking for.

Possibly something like this will fit your blade..?? Serrated Edge Option

Yes, serrated edges are available. They should help. Im considering it for my BB as soon as I find some serrated at the scrap yard;)

I have a BIL who worked for the county hwy dept. I can vouch for the fact that the serrated grader blades work well. The only problem(s) were getting attachment holes drilled thru the giant sucker. AND waiting until my neighbor could come help manhandle the thing to attach it to my back blade. I put it on the back blade of my previous tractor in 1983 and it was still in great shape when I traded the unit for my current tractor in 2009. My driveway is one mile long and gravel all the waaay.

Do you have a photo? And where did you get the serrated edge blade?
