I am hoping someone on here has a Woods RB850 rear blade with hydraulic angle. My blade has the attachment point for one end of the hydraulic cylinder, but not the attachment point that mounts above the rotating center pivot. In looking at pics online, it looks like a simple heavy flat plate with a mount for the cylinder. Woods wants almost 500 bucks for this hunk of steel! If anyone has good pics, and preferably measurements, I would be extremely grateful!

I just bought the same blade trying to find the same mearurements for plate. Wandering if you found the meaurements yet thanks.

I would think it would not be a difficult mod to design.
A couple of thoughts
Your hydraulic cylinder you use needs to push and pull the same distance in order to have angle adjustment to left and right.
If you wish to use your blade facing in a forward and backward direction using the hydraulic ram adjustment, you need the same bracket setup for on both sides of the manual adjustment plate.

A caution during your design, your bracket needs to be built and mounted in a manner that allows the blade to spin to face both directions.

I am surprised that they have removed that plate from the standard model.
I also see that they have several model configurations, seems a bit waste full to me.
Do you have all the tabs for the tilt and offset functions?, the pictures would seem to indicate so.
Good luck getting the measurements for the top plate to add the hydraulic angle,
I see that they are using a 16" cylinder for that function and 8" for the others.

Another member here did share some basic measurements with me, would you like me to send them to you?

Good point, the factory plate is designed with even tile angles and the ability to reverse the blade.

I agree, odd that all of the tabs are there to add all 3 functions, but not the top plate. I guess when you can charge an extra $500 to add just the plate..... but hard to swallow as I only gave a little more that that for the entire blade. I did get the measurements from another member, so I should be set. Not looking forward to cutting and drilling 3/4" plate, but oh well.

If you check around you might find an outfit with a water jet cutting table.
It has been almost 20 years but I had a panel with considerable cutouts to be done,
it would have taken a couple of days with a sawsall they did it all in less then a day for around $100,
your piece shouldn't be that much.

Are you sure the $500 isn’t for the whole angle kit, including the cylinder etc?

Good point, I will call around, there are a lot of machine shops around me.
