I'm trying to find the difference between the Woods RD6000 & the PRD6000. Can anyone explain the difference between these two mowers?

Antlers--I'm looking for the same information. Did you find anything?

PRD is much more heavy duty. Its tapered roller bearings, adjustable wheel track width, thicker deck, anti-shimmy wheels, higher HP gearbox.

I sell both at work, PRD is much preferred.

Showroom,

Thanks for that info. Is that the RD60 or the older model RD6000? I sort of thought they stopped selling the RD6000 a while ago, and when I see a photo of them they look more like the PRD...

Am I wrong about this?

The one I was referencing is the PRD, the RD is just a lighter duty model. I dont know what they used to be.

Hey ajb,
Yes I did- the only difference is the spindles. The Rd6000 is an older version PRD6000. WOODS changed the name so they could introduce the RD60 which is a much lighter mower. I have had the RD6000 for 2 months & have to say it is a very heavy, well built mower. This mower weighs over 600lbs. Any questions just pm me. Thanks

This is the information I was given directly from WOODS.

What person at Woods gave you this information? I want to know so I can let my sales rep know that someone in their company is giving out incorrect information to the public. The *RD* and *PRD* mowers have tons more difference than just spindles.

I think you may be confusing the RD6000 which is no longer available to RD 60 which is more fitted for residential use. If not, I'm interested in the other difference as well.

Thanks
