Woods RDC54 Finish Mower for Cat1?

I'm going to check out a pre-owned Woods RDC54 finish mower this weekend. My tractor is a Cat1. & the Woods RDC54 is a "Limited Cat1". Will I have a problem with fitment?
Also, what should I look for when checking the mower? Should I check gear oil on site?
Other than hooking to a tractor (not sure if they have one to try) is there a way to tell all (gearbox, belt, blades) is OK?

I think it will fit fine. I have a Woods stone rake that was purchased for my BX 2200-it fits fine on my B 2620. I'd check the gearbox oil, look at the belts for wear or shiny spots, and look at the blades for any chunks missing-should show you if it has been abused.

Check the gearbox oil. Also take something with you to use as a dipstick. I recently bought a used cutter. The seller hooked it up to a tractor and it purred like a kitten. When I got it home I found that the gearbox was BONE DRY.

I would also suggest taking a quart with you. If the gearbox is dry or really low. Add the oil and you'll find out if the lower seal is good (or not....)

I would also check the u-joints on the PTO shaft for play. They'll run you about $35 each to replace.
