I have recently acquired a Woods TPR7200 in need of repairs. The lower bearing on the chain drive side apparently went bad, someone ran it too long, it came apart and the broke the chain. I checked with my local Woods dealer. They want $314 per side for the bearing assembly. I believe the respective bearings required are cross compatible to a rather common eccentric SKF bearing number YEL 208-108-2F. The problem is the bearing goes into a sleeve style bearing holder and one of these bearing holders was compromised when whomever ran the thing until the chain broke and exploded the bearing. The good part is I was able to get the number off the other side where the bearing was bad, but had not yet disintegrated. The part number stamped on the bearing holder is S8041. Black Ace follows it, which is then followed by the letter G.

Of course, at this point, I am thinking PERFECT...I have the number and will go online to Black Ace or whomever distributes their bearings, housings, etc. and order it without going through Woods. But I couldn't find a retailer who stocks Black Ace parts, at least that specific part.

So I then contact Black Ace directly, a nice representative offers Black Ace has no part number S8041, but it does have a BS8041 that he is certain I am referencing. He then asked how many I needed and offered there was a 25 unit minimum order. I only need one. The other side is good still.

Next, after going to Woods and hours of research online, I investigate to the point of being convinced the Woods unit to be a Harley T6 and both of those manufactured by Paladin Construction Group. So I contacted Paladin and have yet to receive a reply from a representative.

Anyone have this issue with Harley/Woods Power Rake part availability? I would greatly appreciate any direction you might be able to provide.

I take mine to a local weld shop and they replace both ends with parts and labor for around $285 I replace them every year I put a lot of hours on mine though I know they don't use woods bearings. They just size them to what ever they stock. Hope this helps
