Maybe painted shut? A service part to check when you check for grease. Put the air hose to it or use a pick to get it open.

Foggy,

No dirt, no rust, no marks on it at all. I thought the seepage was due to I had dropped it on a pallet that was not level, and it was only seepage not a "leak".

Except for parking it one time for a couple weeks a little bit less than level, I try to take excellent care of my grinder. I love my grinder...

I am worried that it has had this problem for a long time and I did not know or notice...

Woods vented gear boxes all use the same vent. I am going to assume your vent is stuck. Couple of things we can do for it - one replacement. Second one I am not at liberty to discuss now.

Bring your existing one to the shop BEFORE you use any further.

I knew you'd see this. I got your email and I've replied to it also.

With my commute I cannot get out to your shop before Saturday at best. Are you saying I need to bring the entire Grinder in? I hope not, I'm not sure I can load it on my little trailer...

I can certainly bring in the vent.

I am going to check my cutter's vent and if needed, I will swap them out as I can only use the attachments one at a time also... I remember you telling me they use the exact same transmission...
