Just picked up a used one and the guy couldn't find the manual. He did have the sales slip, was purchased new in '98. Looks to have very little use. Would like to hear from anyone familiar with this brand, (who built them, where, why can't I find them on the web)?? This seems to have a sealed gear-box (true)?

Thank you,
David

Never heard of it. Can you post a pic? Is it blade or chain?

Nice - something I've been looking for. Does anyone know if they are still manufactured and where you can get info? Thanks.

Ps: Had a Buzzsaw (belt driven) with my AC-WD, but sold it with the tractor. Like the PTO driven idea)

I see them advertised in Lancaster Farming. I don't remember the name of the dealer, but they are located on PA 372 east of Quarryville PA. I'm in Kentucky on business right now and don't have access to the ad. You might want to email Lancaster Farming and ask them for the contact information. I believe that the dealer is Amish so you may need to write a letter or call during a specified time period.

When I get back to my normal working status (sleep in my own bed, commute by automobile rather than airplane /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif ), I plan to visit the dealer and price one out.

Now I know what you mean! We never called it by that name- just buzz saw. I have one that has a small Briggs & ScrapIron engine on it and wish mine was pto. I am thinking about making a jack shaft with pulleys to run it off my front pto but I really like the solid connection to the tractor with 3ph that you have.

Found out my local JD dealer sells the same thing Woodsman model 250, He gets them from D.H. Welding Quarryville, PA. Ph# 717-806-0129. My dealer is asking about $1,200.00 for it, Lucky me I paid $440. for this one /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I have ordered a manual from the dealer.

penokee,

I stopped in at D. H. Welding this morning and looked at a saw.

The table is spring loaded so that it returns automatically. The blade guard raises and lowers as the table moves fore and aft. The bearings are greasable and are self aligning. The belt adjustment is done with two bolts that move the sliding gearbox and there are bolts that lock the slide.

I was quoted $1250.00
