Woohoo my 318 is running again

I bought a 318 with 649 hrs on it two owner garage kept two months ago. Got it home cut the grass twice then could not get it started.
I then did the following.
1. took it almost all apart (except for the motor)
2. replaced fuel lines (20' needed)
3. replaced all the clamps
4. checked and made sure all the wiring was good added "snot" the diaelectric goo to each connection.
5. replaced the key switch
6. new plugs (gap was off)
7. new air filter
8. batter pad under the battery
9. pulled belly screen cleaned and painted it
10. cleaned a lot of dirt/old grass from mower.
11. put in a new/oem fuel pump.
then...closed it up and didnt like the way the one fuel line was sitting moved it and snapped the ear off the new fuel pump!!!
so I went and bought an electric fuel pump. The tractor starts on two cranks now. The best thing I did was add that pump.
It cuts like a beast and I am so glad I have it.

Glad it worked out... some of the older units still have a lot of value left in them with just a bit of TLC..

I didn't realize a 318 was "Vintage"??

Mine is from 89, I guess over 20 years would be vintage lol. I really like the 318, it has a ton of power and can pull. I have the snowblower for it also. I wish I could find a bagger for it then the wife would be happy too.

Yeah, that was my point. They are very viable and modernistic tractors.
