I want to mount work lights on the ROPS of my CK30. I plan to follow advice from posters here and use J-B Weld to mount an angle bar to the top of the ROPS.
Does anyone know where to find a power line that’s always powered so I can mount a switch for the lights?

Hi Al,
You should try the customization section in the discussion forums. You will probably get some replys there.

Thanks Kevin
I think I found it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It appears that there is a unused line taped to the light wires at the right fender. If this is indeed a useable power line I will post picts so others will not have to search it out on their own.

I know there are some connectors for rear work lights back there, but i still chose to wire directly to the battery. I mounted the switches here:

I also used square u-bolts to mount my lights...a lot less messy and almost "detachable" as compared to JB Weld... just my 2 cents...

Al,
I have the CK20, not sure if there similar or not, but in the fuse box are there fuses marked for 'customer use' and 'work light' ? If so there should be a plug on the left hand side at the back that has five pins in it. I can't remeber exactly what they all were, but I think without going to look that they were left signal, right signal, parklight, work light and ground. Also on the left side there was another plug (rectangular) with two pins, one was work light and the other was ground. On the right hand side at the back there were two wires together, a red and a black, the red being customer use and the black being ground. Not positive on which was which but it should be similar on CK30. If you find a wire with power on it, just try popping out the fuse that you think it is and it should disappear, this way you can prove which wire is which. One of this plugs had power with the key in the accessory position, the other when you went to thr run position. One thing about the CK20, it has a 50 amp altenator so theres no problem adding lights. I've added 220 watts (4 X 55W) to mine already with no problems at all. Hope this helps.
