D7, I also decided to do some work on the side in order to pay for that new tractor (which I don't have right now; answer on another thread), and found that this can be a very expensive venture. I don't know if it is worth the aggravation and headaches from the tax ramifications to the equipment depreciation and maintenance.
By the way, my daughter-in-law is a "Manitoba Girl." Married a Texas boy, and moved away from Mafeking, Manitoba a few years ago.
