My buddy has a 37 that he bought new late last fall. He basically put less than 2 hours on the tractor before storing it for the winter. He know nothing about tractors, engines, etc. I recommended he add some fuel additive before winter storage, which he did. We went to start the tractor on Friday and it definitely has gelling issues inside the filter. I dont think the tractor was ran at all since putting in the additive last year so it never had a chance to reach the filter. After getting the tractor running, he drove it outside and it began missing and losing power, so it was gelling inside the filter. I took a trigger torch and heated filter housing enough to get the tractor back inside it the shed when it safely sitting. Obviously, the filter is plugged. I'm hoping to warm the filter up enough to correct the problem. But I'm not too optimistic the filter will pull out of it, but since the tractor only has 4 total hours on the meter there is hope. Anyway, I'm having the hardest time finding the correct fuel filter number for the workmaster 37 online in case we need to replace it. There isnt a NH dealer in the area so I'm hoping to cross reference to a filter we can purchase locally. Can anyone help me in my search? Thanks.
