This takes a little while to go through, and the ads are over done but the content
is fascinating. Of the top 100 largest properties, Texas stops at 45. 55 more to go, with most in Australia.
Lot of famous names here, and I learned a great deal about European and Asian farming.
And where do you think the world's largest farm is?

Lot of Texas history here. And a who's who of who owns our forests besides the governments. And where your steak comes from.
Not hard to guess who number one here is. And not a farmer for sure. Though I bet they own a lot of farms...

It is hard to imagine the scope of some of these huge horizon to horizon farms.

All this hectare mess. Wish they'd have put it in plain old acres, like it's supposed to be. Some good hunting land there.

A long time ago I set it as a goal to have a square mile to pass to the next generation. I'm only 2 thirds there. And I'm beginning to wonder if all my offspring will want/appreciate it.

There's only a few places where they are making new land.

I have a client that has 2000 acres. The home has a 500 sq. ft. 4th floor, basically a widows walk with floor to ceiling windows you can step through onto a wrap around balcony. His property manager said the view for both sunrise and sunset is incredible. It's the kind of property where you can see the rain coming and easily get to shelter. I can do that here, so long as the rain is coming from 120 to 255 degrees
