Buying Advice Would you recommend your compact Kubota?

My Dad is 86 and still gets around on his Ford tractor. But it hurts him. The shifting is really getting to his knees. Do yourself a favor and make sure you get one with HST and cruise control.

And yes I would recommend My Kubota, Grand L 5030, a bit larger than you are looking for.

Would you recommend your Kubota B1830 / B3030?

OP here again. Many thanks everyone for your comments.

Here in the UK Kubota has a very good name though JD is equal top of the list, it seems. I've learnt that JD spares availability, in particular, is excellent so I'll look there too but for now I have my eye on a couple of newish B30's.

One is the biggest (B3030) and the other is the smallest (B1830) - so, to narrow down any more advice, does anyone have any other views on either or both of these? I've thought that if I get the smaller one I could keep my old IH485 for the odd bigger job that would be unsuited to an 18hp engine.
