Put in my time at the fire department o'er in AridZona.
Thought that it would be nice to exit 118* F and get back home near water, grass and "real trees".
All of the imported palm trees look dumb to me. They want water in a place that don't have any water w/o you pay an arm and a leg to drag it in from the ocean or a river.
I bought 6 acres in Oologah, Okie Land. The house is back on the south 40 and hidden by a forest of trees. That gaggle of tree limbs is what attracted me to this place. I love shade and with the house being ADA compliant, it was perfect for the wife's wheelchair.
What more could I ask? a 400 ft long driveway, a house hidden by trees, a GL1500 Goldwing to get "the heck out of Dodge" with, and a wonderful view and lots of roads to go see.
I am way too young to quit now, I will only be 70 come next March.
See ya'll around one of the curves down by the lake...
