JD 4500
The depth of the snow was a bit more than shown. It has settled a bit (6 to 8 inches) in the past couple of days. Thankfully the snow was the fluffy type - man did that stuff fly!!! The snow blower is an Erskine 721; Clears a swathe 6 feet wide. The cab is a Curtis cab and it is heated...It's fun clearing the yard now. The tractor is a JD4500 I purchased new nearly 11 years ago. Looks like you got a little mowing done as well. ;)

Larry - Yeah, I have to lower the skids a bit more. It's been a trial and error approach. You should have seen glass clumps flying through the air. I didn't realize the skids were a bit too high until I cleared a path to the middle of the field where I deposit the ashes from my wood stove. The driveway is paved.

Happy New Year! Roger

Looks like a lot of fun. Are the front tires reversed for traction in reverse?

Good looking rig. A lot of comfort right there. Nice front blower too.

I have been using a new rear blower. I waited until today to clean up the snow that fell on Monday. The horrendous winds just died out this afternoon. It was a joy operateing the tractor and blower. I really like a snowblower and I've got a good one now....right on the back of the tractor.

Sure beats a walk-behind blower.

Johndeere3720 - Sorry for the delay answering, I've been away for a couple of days visiting family.

Yes. It's great clearing snow when the wind is blowing, the temps are really cold, etc... and I can remove my jacket, gloves, etc... and watch the white stuff fly. However, one must remember to put the jacket back on when exiting the heated cab. It's a rude reminder of how cold it gets outside.

The front tires are reversed to offer a bit more traction in reverse. It helps to back out of the tight spots, gives me a bit more bite.

Should've just left it. All those tires I threw in the bonfire are paying off and all the snow is going to melt this weekend.:D

I live in an area of upper Michigan that averages 180"+ of snow a year. Only had my blower out once this year, and this morning I can see about 25% of my grass. So, somebody must be getting the snow.... Like these guys...

We usually get around 100" of snow here, and I can see my entire lawn, my trail is mud and my snowmobile is sitting unused ... quite disappointed.

They must have used the same kind a snow blower I have. It blows the snow straight up towards the sun and it evaporates from the heat.
