I noticed this green tractor stranded in a field today with a flat rear tire. It gladdened my heart to know that other tractors, besides Kubotas, get flats too. The tractor is owned by a governmental agency, so it made the irony better, knowing that some poor guy didn't have to fix this.

Poor guys did pay for that..........The governments revenue stream is the tax dollars that they take from you.

I think only the BX Kubotas get the one front tire that goes flat. I don't think any of the others Kubotas get flats.:) Also, POOR guys don't pay taxes so the POOR guy didn't pay for fixing the flat.

NH tractors get front flats, too. Tire guy said it was probably a locust thorn; applied an inside patch. and recommended Slime as a preventative. I paid him with after-tax dollars.

You do have a point. With 47 percent of the US population collecting money from the government(as per 2010 figues)
, looks like people like me gotta support most everyone.

Surely you are joking and not serious. I really can't understand why anyone would be happy - "It gladdened my heart" that an individual would have a flat tire, whether it was a tractor or any other vehicle. If memory serves me correctly, your State of Connecticut has a very high tax burden. New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have the highest overall tax burden in the Nation. You stated that the tractor was owned by a governmental agency. If it was state owned, the citizens of Connecticut paid for getting the flat fixed. In retrospect, I drive a Chevrolet truck and if I saw a Ford truck on the side of the road with a flat, it wouldn't "gladdened my heart". I would stop and help the individual and I would feel bad that he had the flat tire. Surely you were joking?
