WR Long 3rd function valve leak

Sprung a serious leak from my WR Long 3rd function valve "box" today on my MX5800. It's only a few months old & have only used it a little w/ pretty much light duty stuff. The leak seems to be coming from where the inside hydraulic line/valve comes down & meets the aluminum? WR Long box to the right of my joystick. Anyone experienced this / is this common?

That's a ORB (o ring boss) fitting and the o ring is obviously squeezed out. Simple fix, loosen the fitting and see it it will go back in the groove, worst case is you have to replace it, and .50c fix.

looks like a jic fitting and an o-ring blew out. replace the o-ring and double check that the groove and mating surfaces are in good condition.

After replacing the 0 ring and have the fitting installed hold it solid with 1 wrench while you tighten the hose back on to it or you'll end up with the same problem again.

Thanks guys, I was wondering if that's what it could be. So do I unhook the hydraulic line at the quick connector above it 1st to keep hydraulic fluid from coming out & also to make it easier to re-install?

Yes,
Unhook the QD, then loosen the fitting to expose the o ring.
Make sure the tractor is off, then move the joystick in all directions to relieve and pressure. Very little fluid will be lost.

While you are there, take an allen wrench and check all four plugs in the valve body too. Mine were loose and leaking.
