I am looking for a draw bar for my YM1810. Its a round tube draw bar with a split square end.
The one I have now has a ball mount on it. I would like to have a second one for connecting hay
wagon upto. Anyone have one forsale?

If you have a welder friend, he could very easily make you another, with any kind of hitch style you wanted, especially if you have one to pattern off of. HTH Reed

Gary,
Get a drawbar that attaches to the lift arms for $20 at TSC, get a drawbar lock for it so it won't spin. Put Ball mount in one hole and connect a hay wagon in the hole next to it. They have about 7-9 holes in them.

Inspector,
Maybe I am using the wrong terms. I have seen the 3pt draw bars, but mine YM1810 has a frame mounted
bar. I see some tractors call this a swinging drawbar. Thats what I want to get ahold of. Ill have to get out to the barn and get a photo for folks today.

gws,
I have the factory drawbar on my YM1700 as well, at least it may be the same type thing you have. I find the 3pt drawbar to be of more use. It gets the tongue, of whatever I pull around, back farther.

GWS,I have several that I don't need, but I need to know the dimensions of yours as there is more than 1 size. Email me with your location and I will ck on freight cost.

GWS....I agree with the terms you are using and also agree that what you want is a frame mounted drawbar. Some are swinging type and some are not, but I hope you will not use anything except a frame mounted drawbar.
The alternative type would be the 3pt drawbars. I've used them, survived the experience through dumb luck, and wish I could convince others to consign every 3pt drawbar to the museum (scrap metal) pile.
If you are tempted to use the 3pt drawbars please read this artice at: http://aepo-xdv-www.epo.cdc.gov/wonder/PrevGuid/m0040898/m0040898.asp
Yes, that's a three line URL! I just tried it and it works....
3pt drawbars are dangerous both because of the extra pivot and because it is so easy to raise the 3pt to axle level. No matter what you think, your reactions are NOT faster than a tractor rotating around its own axle. And ROPS is not very effective in that type of wreck. I escaped injury because I just happened to be looking at the front wheel at the very moment that it left the ground and got the clutch in about 1/10 of a second later. My tractor was near vertical at that point.
Thanks to Wayne For the URL from his collection.l

Roger_Scotty,
Thanks for that info............very worthwhile reading at that url. Makes me think my prior actions may have been just dumb luck.
