X 340 Question ?

Two years ago I traded my wife's LX 288 for a Cub Cadet SLT 1554.
For two years I've had to hear about how cruel a person I am for going from JD to CC.
For her Birth Day I was going to buy her a new iron and ironing board. But if I ever want to have sex again I'll put that thought in the trash.

I wanted to buy her a J.D. GT model but they don't make them any more.
My question is are the X3xx models a GT replacement?
I want 1 step up from the LX models and 2 steps up from CC.
I'm seriosly considering the X-340 w/ 54" mulching blades. Dealer quoted $4750. Or the X500 for $1100 more.
Either way I'm taking the 12mo. no interest no payment. So I'll have a year to figure out how to pay for it.
I'm I on the right track?
Is the price fair?

We we don't want you getting in hot water now do we? the X500 model replaces the GT series. The X340 replaces the LX288/54. Both are nice machines. The price is ok if he is including the mulch kit not just blades. If you want to step up from the LX you have to go to the X500. Either way I think she'll be happy.

Yes it's the $169 mulch kit.

This dealer sells J. Deere and Kubota.
I have purchase 5 tractors 1 skid steer and 4 mowers from him.
I thought the price was HIGH. But than again these days every thing seems Hi!

LOL! At least you didn't do like my brother's next door neighbor did for his wife's BD. He surprised her with exercise equipment! He's still paying for that mistake! It sounds like you're on the right track now, tho. If it was me (and only me) I would find a real nice, low hour JD 445 or 455. They are so cool, and big for a full featured GT. And the price is right....usually. But hey, if you have the bucks for new.......
